One* ingredient "ice cream"!? Hit me up! Enjoy the sensation of summer with this no-churn, no-hassle, delicious pineapple sorbet!
3 tablespoons salt
1 pound pineapple chunks; cut into bite-sized pieces
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil; add salt and stir to dissolve it completely. Soak pineapples in the salt water for 15 minutes; then, drain in a sieve.
Freeze pineapple in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until hardened.
Add a few pieces of frozen pineapple to a food processor and puree until smooth. Be sure to secure the top of the food processor and hold it down with your hand. Gradually add more pineapple as they start to process and smooth. Serve in ice cream cones or bowls immediately. Repeat this process as needed, making as many servings as you need at the time of serving.
