While dashi powder is usually used to make a dashi broth, it also works as delicious edamame seasoning.
1 pound unseasoned edamame pods
2 cloves garlic; minced
1 (10 gram) packet vegan dashi powder
salt & pepper
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Then, add edamame pods and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until softened and drain.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in the pot over medium heat. When hot, toast garlic until fragrant and browned, about 1 minute.
Then, return edamame pods to the pot.
Add vegan dashi powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
Toss to coat, and serve immediately.
